What was life like before you turned to God?

Helter skelter best describes it. Wanting to do things my way and suffering the consequences because of it. This led to both professional and family problems.

What kept you from knowing Him and experiencing Him?
I didn’t want to completely submit my will to His. I did the right things- church, bible study, sunday school, etc… but stilll was lacking in my relationship with God.

What spurred you to turn to Jesus for salvation?
I fully surrendered when I hit rock bottom and knew I had no one else to blame but myself and no one else to look to but God.

What happened in your heart and your life as you came to know God?
His grace has changed the way I see life and the way I see people. I take full responsibility for my actions knowing that God will always guide me and never leave me. Life is still not always easy or fair because we live in a broken world but God reigns and is always good!

What helps you to experience God better each day?
Habits-making sure I spend quiet time in His word and through helpful books. I pray each day that God will give me eyes to see Him and ears to hear Him.

What’s the one aspect of God He has revealed himself to you as that is the most dear to you?
That He loves me in spite of my faults and failures! I am His child. The Creator of the universe has adopted me as His child and I belong to Him! Whatever happens to me in this life, nothing can change the fact that I belong to Him and always will.

What is God teaching you in this current season about Himself?
That He is in control at all times and that if I will abide in Him, I will become more like Him. My desire is to be Christ like in all I do and say so that others will see Jesus in me.
